Okay, this is truly amazing, for me anyway. I could actually see the Northern Lights, south of Chicago, facing northeast. Granted, they aren’t as nice as the pics from further North, but here they are. It’s a cloud covered sky; therefore they don’t come across as brilliantly. In person, you can really see them changing and the characteristic underlying wave movement. I think some of you might appreciate them though. Those of you that are Midwesterners (not of the Northern variety).
